- Faculty
Dr. Nahid Hasan didn’t plan on becoming a teacher. That changed when he began instructing as a doctoral student. As he found joy in sharing knowledge, seeing students grasp challenging concepts and making a meaningful impact through education, he fell in love with teaching and decided to become a professor.
His passion for teaching and research is equaled only by his commitment to mentor and help students succeed. He believes every student has the potential to excel and achieve their goals with the proper guidance and support.

In the summer of 2023, I defended my doctoral dissertation. I examined synergy and antagonism within various log-linear models, including hierarchical, non-hierarchical and non-standard models. I also explored the implications of synergy and antagonism in various fields, including epidemiology and drug combination studies.
